Garth Jordan

Garth is Creative Director and a company founder. He is responsible for the design and execution of all visual and corporate communications systems for Sight Design’s clients, as well as management of the company’s design team. Garth’s responsibilities include shared management of Sight Design’s network and communications hardware design and administration of the company’s day-to-day business affairs. Garth was also Vice President and a founder of Marinternet. From January 1994 to January 1998, Garth was an award winning Graphic Designer at Pentagram Design, Inc., an internationally renowned multidisciplinary design firm in San Francisco. Between 1995 and 1997 while at Pentagram, he was a principal developer of several successful e-commerce Web Site launches. Garth has extensive experience in project management, graphic communications, and management of multi-media projects. Garth managed large and complex corporate communications projects, which provided direct experience with the clients’ corporate culture and business systems. Garth was educated in graphic design at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco and graduated in June 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He also holds an AS Degree in Business from College of Marin. Garth served with the United States Navy from May 1985 to May 1993 and was honorably discharged.

John Cummmings
Technology Director, Founder

John is Technology Director and a company founder. John’s main skills are in the area of Internet/Intranet programming and server management. Within the area of Internet programming, John specializes in database driven Web sites using server side CGI/ASAPI applications and programming languages to deliver dynamic Web content. John works closely with the Designers to build the framework of the site. He has extensive experience with ASP & VBScript, Visual Basic, ActiveX, Cold Fusion, Perl, CGI scripting, Javascript, DHTML, SQL and other database management systems. In addition John has three years of NT Network Administration and extensive project management experience. John’s experience includes shared management of Marinternet, where he executed network and communications hardware design and administration, managed customer service, performed programming for all hosting services, and administrated the company’s day-to-day business affairs. John worked with Marinternet since its inception and until its sale, and was one of the company’s owners. Prior to John’s activities with Marinternet and Sight Design, he spent several years as a programming consultant for several e-commerce and information oriented internet companies, and created numerous CGI tools for several bay area-based ISPs. An accomplished artist, John earned his Bachelors Degree in Fine Art at San Francisco State University in 1991, specializing in Printmaking. He earned his Teaching Credential at Sonoma State University in 1994, and taught middle school and high school art in several Sonoma County schools before transferring his creative skills into computer and Internet- oriented work.
