SFJAZZ : Data Integration

SFJazz.com is a leading non-profit jazz institution providing the west coast with performances, education, calendars, and membership benefits. Sight Design was contracted to create a data filter application for their back-end ticket sales integration. This application is responsible for transforming source data of various types and formats into a single data import files for use in their local database and spreadsheet programs.

Recommendations

1. As data sources and formats can change, the application was built to allow the user to define the source schema.
2. This application was built as a private web based tool so that SFJazz administrators could use it from a variety of locations.
3. Basic and scalable programming language and technology was chosen to allow the application to easily be modified as necessary.
