SantenRecommendations

  1. Given the sensitivity of data and files, Sight Design implemented robust user rights functionality. Users are given specific types of rights to files, controlling the ability to view, print, edit, and save files. Department administrators have complete control over all content
    and files.
  2. In order to give ownership of HTML content throughout the Intranet to Santen users, an active content editing system was put in place. This editing system allows authorized users to add, edit, and delete pages. The user interface is simple to use and requires no HTML training.
  3. Santen, Inc. uses the PDF format to distribute information. Traditionally this required the full installation of Adobe Acrobat on numerous workstations. To save costs and hours a server-side PDF engine was made part of the Intranet. This engine automatically translates various documents to PDF and also assist in controlling various rights such as printing and saving.
